The Villa was probably built in the 1700's by a very influential Florentine family and is a historical landmark of the area. It was the summer residence of the family and enjoys extensive views over the countryside yet it is minutes away to nearby hamlets.
It is located in charming Lucignano in the province of Arezzo approx 1hr from Florence and 2hrs from Rome. It is ideally located to enjoy the beautiful wine areas of Chianti and Brunello and it is very near the most important highways that connect to Siena, Assisi and all the small surrounding hamlets. It is about 2 miles to the Lucignano which is the nearest town. Within easy reach (on foot) is Croce where there is a bar, small pizza parlour, grocery store and a baker.
The property is a very large building (900m2) that extends on three floors. It is decorated with family antiques, has high ceilings and granite floors that add charm and elegance to the building, yet it is fully equipped with modern amenities for confortable daily living.
The Villa has 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, living and dining areas, a large pool with diving board, outdoor furniture and a pergola for al fresco dining. It is a grand residence, private and quite unique. It is set amid some 3 hectares of ground with large grassy lawns, 'old-growth' trees and a beautiful cypress lined driveway.
On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, one is suitable for disabled people and has an en suite bathroom, there are 2 bathrooms, a living and dining room, a great cozy kitchen with fully functional fireplace, a separate laundry room with washing machine.
Going up the stairs there are 4 bedrooms of which 2 have queen size beds. One room has an ensuite bathroom and beautiful terrace, the other bathroom for the queen size bedroom is on a mezzanine level and the remaining 2 bedrooms have twin beds and share a bathroom with tub and separate shower. The breakfast room and a small kitchennette is also on this floor.
On the top floor there are 3 bedrooms of which one has a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower, 1 queen bedroom with ensuite Jacuzzi Tub and separate shower and another queen bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower.
Rate for 2009 (Saturday to Saturday):
Low season: € 5.250,00
Mid season: € 6.750,00
High season: € 7.500,00

Included in the rate: Utilities (water and gas). Electricity 300kw/week.
For consumption above 300kw/week it will be metered - upon arrival and departure - at the rate of 0,18kw.
One set of linens and towels per person. Mid week change of towels. Pool towels.
Snack on arrival. Welcome pack (basic grocery and household items).
Not included in the rate: Heating is metered separately and payable to the
owner. Electricity above 300kw/week. Final cleaning. Additional cleaning hours, mid week bed linen change,
babysitting, cook and cooking courses are available at a fee and payable locally.
Cleaning available at 15 Euro/hour (3 hour minimum).
Security deposit required. Please enquire at time of booking. Cash only accepted.
